FAQ

Your map

Why isn’t one of my workouts on the map?

TurMap maps workouts that have a GPS route. Indoor workouts, and anything recorded without location, have no route to draw.

If a recent workout is missing, its route may still be on its way from your watch to Apple Health on your iPhone. Open TurMap again once it has arrived. If none of your workouts appear, check that TurMap may read Workouts and Workout Routes, in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › TurMap.

If you hid it yourself, it’s in TurMap under Settings › Clean up › Hidden workouts.

Does TurMap record my trips?

No. Record them the way you already do, with your Apple Watch or any app that saves workouts with routes to Apple Health. TurMap picks them up when you open it. It only reads Apple Health and never writes to it.

Can I add trips from another app?

Yes, as GPX files. Most apps and services can export one. Share the file to TurMap from Files or from the other app’s share button, or use Settings › Import, which takes one file or several at once.

Why can’t I export a track as GPX?

A GPX file needs an elevation on every point, and some tracks don’t have one: files imported without elevation data, and recordings whose elevation data TurMap couldn’t use. Those can’t be exported as GPX yet. Tracks with elevation data export as normal.

Why is a trip on my iPhone missing on my iPad?

Each device builds its own map, from that device’s Apple Health and the files you import there. Trips you group, names you give and workouts you hide don’t move between devices yet.

Do I need a connection?

Not for your own data: your routes, trips and totals are on your device. The map underneath loads over the internet, so without a connection you may see your routes on a blank background. With TurMap Plus you can download map areas before you go offline.

TurMap Plus

What’s free, and what does Plus add?

Free: every route from Apple Health on one map, GPX import, multi-day trips, and share cards.

Plus adds more map styles, route planning, offline maps and more.

What happens if I cancel?

Nothing you’ve recorded is locked away. Everything stays on your map and stays exportable, including routes you planned. The map goes back to the free one, and the Plus features lock until you subscribe again.

How do I cancel, restore a purchase, or get a refund?

Apple handles the subscription. To cancel, open TurMap Plus at the top of Settings and choose Manage subscription, or use the subscriptions page in your Apple Account settings. On a new device, the same TurMap Plus screen has Restore Purchases.

Refunds also go through Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com. I can’t issue them myself.

Can my family use my subscription?

Yes. Plus works with Family Sharing, so everyone in your family group gets it.

Your data

Can you see my routes?

No. There’s no account and no analytics, and nothing about your workouts or routes is sent to me. The privacy policy lists everything that does leave your device.

How do I delete everything and start over?

Delete the app. That removes everything TurMap stored on that device. Your Apple Health data isn’t touched: if you reinstall, TurMap reads it again, and Restore Purchases brings back Plus. GPX files you imported need importing again. If you back up your iPhone or iPad, backups made before you deleted TurMap still hold a copy.

Is there an Android version?

No. TurMap is for iPhone and iPad, and needs iOS 26 or later.
